• 09.00 Guided walk (english language - 1.30hr) of the old town.
  A walk around the old pedestrian areas around the Cathedral and in the Petite France.
It should be possible to see the Maison Kammerzell, place Gutenberg, St.-Thomas church, the former tanners’ houses, the Covered Bridges, the Vauban dam, the former customs-house, the former town-butchery, the Palais Rohan...
• 11.00 Visit of the Alsatian Museum.
  Local art based in a number of former private residences in Strasbourg, the Alsatian Museum presents a fascinating snapshot of traditional Alsatian life including painted furniture,costumes, local ceramics, toys, and religious or nonreligious images. A number of rooms feature reconstructions of the interiors of buildings typical of the various regions of Alsace (including the farms on the plains, the vineyards or the valleys of the Vosges), or craftsmen’s workshops (such as the forge and the carpentry shop, etc.

Day 3

• 08.30 Departure to Obernai ; free discovery of the town
  With its storks, its half-timbered houses and its flower-decked streets, Obernai provides a very completesnapshot of life in Alsace. This is one of the few Alsatian villages to have retained its ancient fortifications, including its ramparts and its towers. The ramparts today provide visitors with an attractive walk under the lime and chestnut trees. The marketplace surrounded by houses with balconies, the former grain hall and other period monuments bear witness to the importance of this town in times gone by. Situated within easy reach of the Vosges, the town of Obernai is definitely a "must see" .
  Visit of the exhibition of 20 Christmas crips in the church Sts Pierre et Paul.
  Then stop in the small village of Barr to visit the « Gingerbread Museum » (visit & taste)

• 15.00 Haut Koenigsburg Visit of the Castle
  Sitting an imposing 757 metres above the Alsace plain, the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle has all the necessary assets for afortress.Its strategic position, relatively easy to defend in former times, now provides visitors with an exceptional panoramic view over the Alsace plain, the Vosges Mountains, the Black Forest and even -on a clear day- the Alps. However, take the decision to cross the drawbridge and you will be able to explore the castle’s fully-fitted and furnished living quarters and discover its collections of medieval weapons. Then climb to the top of the keep and the grand bastion.

Day 4

• 08h30 Departure to COLMAR
  An exceptional town due to the wealth and variety of its historical and architectural heritage. Colmar retains a'country town' atmosphere which contributes so much to its charm. The magic of lights: Colmar was the first town in France to put in place an operation of such amplitude and,was awarded the special prize of the Académie des Arts de la Rue (Academy for road arts) for its truly exceptional achievement : he town is illuminated from nightfall every evening during Christmas.
• 10h15 Visit of the Toy and miniature trains Museum
  More than just an exhibition space, the toy museum is an enchanted place where you will discover a collection that is unique, varied and exciting.Enthusiasts and collectors of all ages will be captivated by exhibits such as Cinderella's Coach, the exceptional collection of dolls, the locomotive Britannia, with a wonderful train network covering more than 1000 metres and animated displays.
A puppet theatre designed by Christian Prevost and operated by 35 computer-controlled motors presents Jean de la Fontaine's fable The Fox and the Stork in an Alsatian setting.
  Free discovery of the wonderfull old town : Fishermans', Tanner's and "Little Venice" areas.
  Time for lunch.
  Depending on the departure time, stop in Kayersberg or Riquewihr, charming medieval villages situated in the wineyard. (possibility to visit a winecellar)

  Depending on the airport and departure time, possibility to visit a BREWERY (speciality of the Alsace region) or the CHOCOLATE MUSEUM (« Chocolat Secrets tour » : it takes you first through the history of cocoa beans from the Aztecs to their arrival at the Spanish court. Then you'll learn the processing of beans into chocolate and continue your journey into the industrial age. Finally, a professional chocolate maker will show you the art of chocolate-making, answer your questions and exchange views. You’ll be able to taste, and you’ll leave with a chocolate gift.
